Diagnostic Imaging with X-ray and Ultrasound
Accurate diagnosis is a pivotal part of treating sick or injured pets. Veterinary Clinic of Tinley Park has advanced imaging capabilities to evaluate your companion’s condition.
Our diagnostic imaging services include digital X-rays for full-body evaluation, as well as dental radiographs to assess oral health below the gumline. We have ultrasound technology available, too. We use ultrasound for abdominal exams and evaluation of internal organs.
These tools allow us to see what’s happening inside your pet’s body so that we can make more informed decisions about their care.

Lab Testing for Quick Results
Veterinary Clinic of Tinley Park has in-house lab equipment.
Having access to an in-house laboratory means that our team can perform certain tests quickly during your pet’s visit. This can be especially helpful when your pet is not feeling well and needs answers.
Our in-house lab can be used to perform routine bloodwork, urinalysis, heartworm testing, and certain other diagnostics. For specialized testing, such as fecal analysis (internal parasites) or allergy testing, we partner with trusted reference laboratories. All results are reviewed by our experienced team.

Sick Care FAQs
Are same-day appointments available for sick pets?
Same-day appointments may be available for current clients only, depending on our schedule. We do not accept walk-ins, as scheduled appointments enable us to dedicate time to our pet patients without added delays.
How do I know if my pet needs to see a veterinarian?
Changes in appetite, energy level, behavior, or body condition can all be signs that something isn’t right. Symptoms like persistent vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, limping, or unusual behavior should be evaluated, too. If you’re unsure, it’s always best to call and ask! We’re happy to guide you.
Does your veterinary clinic hospitalize sick pets?
On occasion, Veterinary Clinic of Tinley Park will hospitalize a pet if they are stable and do not require continuous overnight monitoring. Pets that need intensive or overnight care will be referred to an emergency or specialty facility for hospitalization.
When will I receive my pet’s lab results?
For tests performed through external laboratories, turnaround times can vary depending on the specific test. Regardless of the results, our team will always contact you to review findings.
